WORK PACKAGE 3:Global Attractiveness

REPORT ON THE POTENTIAL ATTRACTIVENESS OF A EUROPEAN DEGREE LABEL

This report reflects on the focus on the potential attractiveness of a European Degree Label, providing insights in the potential added value of a European Degree label for global attractiveness at EQF 6, 7 and 8 levels. Two surveys were designed and implemented and in-depth interviews were conducted. Results showed that while students focused primarily on the label's potential to enhance job opportunities, alumni placed greater emphasis on its role in validating academic achievements and improving recognition. Regarding the perception of employers they strongly emphasis on attributes like "international recognition", "reputation" and "high-quality education" associated with the Label. However, they emphasize the need for a holistic assessment that considers factors beyond academic credentials alone, highlighting the importance of skills, experience, and suitability for specific roles and organizations. Employers stress that while the Label may be favourable, it may not always guarantee employability on its own, underscoring the need for a multifaceted evaluation approach.
