The aim of this exercise is to come up with a design for a joint European degree label certificate within the EDLab project. The design builds on the information obtained on current degree awarding practices and applicable prescriptions that manage the content, form and lay-out of (joint) diplomas and (joint) diploma supplements as awarded within the framework of joint study programmes. The joint European degree label certificate is considered as a complementary certificate that is issued alongside the joint diploma. EDLab designs the label certificate as much as possible with the look and feel of a potential future ‘joint European diploma’, as an impetus to a transnational harmonization that could be accommodated for in the national / regional regulatory frameworks to ease recognition. A label logo features as key visual identifier of the label initiative.
